Dr. K.S. Vijayanambi, former Principal of Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, is an alumnus of Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Chennai. He has completed his Ph.D in Tourism Management on Trends in Medical Tourism from Madurai Kamaraj University.

An accomplished administrator, principal, teacher and educator, he possesses expertise in higher education and demonstrated success in the development of students. He has extensive experience in the creation and design of successful student programmes with a proven track record in student development.

After gaining industry exposure with Carnival Cruise Lines, USA, he began his career as faculty in Food Production at State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Trichirappalli, Tamil Nadu. He served as Head of the Department at SIHM Kozhikode from 2011 to 2014, and as Principal of Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology from 2019 to 2025. He has published numerous research papers in leading journals on topics related to tourism and hospitality.
