Industrial training
After the completion of the First Year the students of the first two batches are required to undergo Industrial Training from June to October. The next two batches are scheduled in the Second Year from October to March. This training is for a period of 17 weeks. Students will be placed in hotels (three star above) in India and abroad. The selection process is done by the hotels themselves. Under no circumstances will student be allowed to change batches or hotels, once confirmed. The training completion certificate issued by the hotel is mandatory to prove completion of training. Students with less than 15 weeks of Training will not be allowed into the Third year, until the minimum requirement is met with.
On completion of the training, students will be evaluated based on the performance appraisal (by the Hotel trained in), Log Book, Report and Presentation. by faculty and Industry experts). A minimum of 50% is necessary to pass. In the Final year, many leading hotels conduct tests, group discussions and interviews to select suitable candidates for employment.
In order to get suitably placed, students are required to prepare themselves. Following are the qualities expected by employers:
